Crazy Songs in Crazy Places

Traveling I hear all types of music, I was amazed that in Germany they play alot of american pop from 80's and 90's. They also have a facination with a Brit named Robbie Williams, he is mediocre at best and not much German in their Radio stations. Italy must have a contract with the mob in their restaraunts I think they have the same playlist.
These are a few shockers I have had.

Lynn Anderson country song  " I Beg Your Pardon, I Never Promise You A Rose Garden" in a Beer Garden In Germany ..A bunch of big Germans drinking beer with that for Ambiance.

I a busy Market in Egypt  a guys Phone rang with the Ringtone of " The Cucaracha"

Vienna Austria, 3 very white young men 17-18 years of age, Sitting in their Renault hooptie blasting "Gold Digger" Skinnig Jeans and tilted Yankee Caps.

Just a few I will add more Later.

Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa Quotes to consider. She is a Hero of mine I just know she is person to be heard from now until Jesus's return.

I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much.

In this life we cannot do great things. We can only do small things with great love.

It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish.

I am a little pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the world.

If you judge people, you have no time to love them.

I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.

Me, I want to commucate.

MUNICH JESUS AND SAMARITAN WOMAN 1830'S

What I hope to do is communicate the story, but I am lazy. Not with everything I read alot, learning about my enviroment history and such, meeting people etc. but I am not putting the time in learniNg german. I read up on my Rick Steves book with phrases, but my Rosetta stone time is lacking, my excuse is finding a spot for my mac, you need to sit watch, listen and talk. Please pray I get the want to.
The people hear are friendly, one guy calls me "Texas", Memmegem is different, not much but little things like the access to drinking water, no water fountians anywhere, restraunts have water but they charge you for it (no free refills). FYI order bottled water, and order it without gas, water is served carbonated like club soda.
It is clean, people clean up after themselves even after washing hands we are supposed to clean the sink area. They recycle everything, we are to separate paper, plastic, Bio, and other stuff. Bicycle lanes are wide, people have the right away then, bikes, then cars. I liked the fact you get a yellow light before it goes green, this i think it is a good idea. Most everyone is prepared to move.

Most everyone drinks beer with meals and it is not a big deal, beer for breakfast was a little shocker. I have liked the local stuff still can't do it before noon. I have hade Baltic food it was beef with stuff veggies good but don't know what it was. Had great Italian food, listened to an aurguement in Italian on wine, in my limited Italian I heard one guy say he he would rather drink his dogs piss than drink a certian regions wine.

I want take in more this is good "Thanks god"

More later

Germany

My new digs in Germany has been quite a challenge, I don't mean losing a limb, starving or anything really tragic just different. Stuff like not being able to communicate effectly I know greetings and where is the bathroom stuff, but when you start these little things, the others responde very quickly. what... hey... you want my shoe in the pudding? to fast I get about 40% of the words i cant get meat of the sentence. I having trouble with learning how to wash my clothes, yeah I'm spoiled with my Large capacity washer and dryer back home. anyway i have to 4 flights of stairs i must travel to a dungeon, I can't under stand the words on the wascher so i go back up and my laptop to use my translator go back down 4 flights to no avail. still most the words don't work or are to literal. I try to find a manual on the model in English online not available, it was built in germany no video on youtube.
Had to turn on the water going in the wascher, that is a first, still wouldn't work saw a nieghbor asked him, he responds "no german, Hungary", darn it! what is the luck I found the only Hungarian in Germany. I met the maid Manuela, no not spanish but german she assumed I understood her jesters, but I think I got lost i didn't get the jist. 5 hours later my new bedsheet was in the wascher, but it kept washing for 2 hours??????? I stopped it (off is AUS) then turned the knob to spulen/rinse that went on for an hour, then aus again, then spin dry for an hour so 7 hours to wash my new bed sheet and 3 hours to dry it, AAHHHHHHH!! I wanted to find a river with rocks so I can beat my clothes clean, There has to be a better way, yeah, i know learn german, I am working on it. well my attempt is to wash regular clothes I started wed nite 2 hours for the wash, clothes already in the dryer RATS!!! I then put them in the dryer 9 this morning it i 3pm still not dry, I don't get it. I know this is boring sorry it is my life.
I did get to draw today!!! I went to a cafe' today to draw, nice stress release. My wait person is Karen she speaks english so she has been helpful with words and customs, for my drawing see my other blog for drawings.
I thank God this time.

Today

I am trying leave the U.S., not running away but an extended trip to Germany and Italy. Both my brother and sister have lived in germany for extended periods and have loved it. I am studying Germany and Italian, I hope to get good at them hopefully conversational.
I want to say something profound so I will us someone else words of wisdom. since I am only rambling.

"I"m often accused of being irreligious, and I suppose it's for this very reason. Whether it's Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Catholicism, Hinduism, Judaism, or any other ism, when a religioin is created on the subtle premise that God withholds his love and you must submit to the system to earn that love, I consider it the worst of corruptions...
For centuries, the church has been telling us that if we want God to love us, we need to follow the rules. It's been far more important to focus on the sin problem than the love problem.""

Daddy?

I have a weird problem, I love to read, but hate to write. So this is problem when you write a Blog. Writing is essential, hence problem.

I went to church today and heard Ron, my Pastor, talk about the Sabbath. He mentioned a story of a pastor working hard trying to win souls, out all the time doing work. He had this room in his home that was his room for study, his escape from the world, family, everything, just him and God. Well it was a busy saturday, busy evening, he goes into this room. His 4 yr old girl, opens the door and asked "Daddy, Can I love you today?" He breaks down and asked God for forgiveness. I hope I keep remembering to love everyday.
The Sabbath is for us to remember Him, God didn't need to rest, He just did, FOR HIS GLORY. lets sit with Him.

I don't want to work hard for the kingdom and not have love. Just like that little girl God wants to love me. ...God wants to love me.
